Care Tips
Care of Prints
- Handling
- Frames protect the print and are fairly delicate, edges being prone to dents if knocked.
- Glass will also scratch if contact is made with items such as metal buttons, zips etc or dirty cleaning cloths are used.
- Do not turn hinged prints upside down as the hinge will be exposed to stress.
- Hanging / Location
- Prints are produced using Archival materials and Techniques and should provide many generations of enjoyment.
- Please Hang securely, larger prints especially may require two hooks or special fittings depending on print size and wall.
- Although most Frames are fitted with Museum or UV protection glass, life is prolonged if kept away from direct sunlight and/or halogen lighting
- Prints don’t like changes in humidity, high or low temperatures or air pollutants like dust, smoke, petrol fumes, or close proximity to strong odours etc.
- Cleaning
- To clean glass spray an ammonia free cleaner onto a soft lint free cloth and then clean in a circular motion.
- Frame can be dusted but do not use polish
- Problems
- If you experience any problems please contact Steven Draper Photography with the Print Title and Date and if applicable the Work Number which appears on the rear of the frame.
