“I knew the moment the Lufthansa 747-400 D-ABVH rotated into an approaching snow storm at sunset that this was a special picture.
A jumbo may be big when standing next to it, but compared to the sky it is tiny and I wanted to capture this feeling of scale, power and adventure.
The image sets the tone for much of my artistic photography, and landed me my first photo assignment in Canada thanks to showing it to former CBC presenter Tim Wilson, now an award winning film director.”
